Baschung, Sibylle
Born in 1972 in Grenchen, Switzerland, Sibylle Baschung studied German literature, mediaeval history, and modern history at the University of Basel. She worked in dramaturgy, production management, and public relations for independent theatre projects in Switzerland. In 1998/99 she was assistant director at Theater Basel (artistic direction: Stefan Bachmann). In 2000 she completed her studies with a master’s degree. In 2000/01 she was assistant dramaturg and dramaturg at Theater am Neumarkt in Zurich (artistic direction: Dünsser/Kuckla). When Elisabeth Schweeger took up the post of artistic director at schauspielfrankfurt in 2001, Sibylle Baschung became assistant dramaturg; since the 2003/04 season she has worked as a dramaturg at schauspielfrankfurt.
