Antje Majewski

Antje Majewski was born in 1968 in Marl (Westphalia). From 1987 to 1995 she studied art history, history, and philosophy in Cologne, Florence, and Berlin. In the academic year 2001/02 she was a guest professor for painting at Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe. In 2004/05 she taught at Hochschule der Künste Bern. Currently Antje Majewski lives and works in Berlin.

For Büro Kopernikus’ programme, Antje Majewski and Ingo Niermann staged the dance theatre piece “Skarbek”. Performances took place in Bytom and Berlin (Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz) in 2005.


Ingo Niermann

Ingo Niermann, born 1969 in Bielefeld, lives and works as an author in Berlin. Since 1998 he has published numerous essays and stories, e.g. in Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Modern Painters, Monopol, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Texte zur Kunst. Catalogue contributions for e.g. Danish Pavillion (Venice), Frankfurter Kunstverein, Kunsthalle Basel, Landesmuseum Joanneum (Graz).

Katrin Vellrath

Born in 1975 in Bonn; Theatre Studies at the Free University of Berlin. Kathrin Vellrath is a member of the Duo “Milch” (Milk). She lives and works in Berlin.

Tomasz Wygoda

Born in Kielce in 1974, Thomasz Wygoda studied contemporary dance from 1993 to 1995 and qualified with a diploma in teaching and choreography. From 1993 to 1999 he studied history at the university of Kielce.

In 2001, Thomasz Wygoda also attained a Diploma in Contemporary Dance. Until 2005 he toured the USA, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and others. Between 1997 and 2003, he was a dancer with the Silesian Dance Theatre. He has featured in several performances, including “Oscilations” by Jacek Luminski, “Notes from the briefcase Gua” by Jacek Luminski, “Melody to plait a twig” by Jacek Luminski and “Oczekiwanie” by Konrad Drzewiecki.

Since 2004, Thomasz Wygoda has worked as an independent dancer, for example in “Made in Polska”, a collaboration with Wojtek Mochniej in 2004. He also works with other choreographers such as Jan Janet Panetta (USA), Jean G. Weiss (Luxemburg), Paul Ibey (Canada), Emio Greco (Holland), Ko Murobushi (Japan), Wojtek Mochniej and Melissa Monteross (Poland/Canada). His own work as choreographer since 2004 includes: “Wyzwolenie” by M. Grabowski, Stary Teatr, Krakow; “Szalona Lokomotywa” by Jan Peszek, Slupsk; “Loze” by Jan Peszek, Teatr Stu, Krakow. And he has cooperated in the following theatre productions: “Oczyszczeni” (“Cleansed” by Sarah Kane) directed by Krzysztof Warlikowski, Teatr Rozmaitosci, Warsaw; “Zaratustra” by Krystian Lupa, Stary Teatr, Krakow; “Niewina” by Pawel Miskiewicz; Stary Teatr, Krakow. Since 2004, Thomas Wygodahas has also taught Yoga in Krakow and leads dance workshops.





Jacek Owczarek

Geboren 1971. Jacek Owczarek ist Tänzer – sein Diplom erhielt er von der Kommission der Akademien der Schönen Künste Polens. Danach studierte er an der Adam-Mickiewicz-Universität in Poznań sowie in Kalisz Pädagogik und Kunst, um im Anschluss als künstlerischer Pädagoge zu arbeiten. In Krakau, Łódź, Bydgoszcz und Warschau absolvierte er Kurse für Ausbilder im Zeitgenössischen Tanz.
Jacek Owczarek ist Ideengeber und Organisator des Festivals „Kino des Tanzes“ in Łódź. Er unterrichtet in den Fächern Zeitgenössischer tanz, Improvisation und Bewegungstheorien. Er ist Tänzer am Theater für zeitgenössischen Tanz „ALTER“ in Kalisz.
