Petras, Armin
Armin Petras showed the play “Zeit zu Lieben, Zeit zu Sterben” (“A Time to Love, a Time to Die”) by Fritz Kater (Petras’ pseudonym) at the SZUM festival, which was organised by the Nürnberger Haus in Kraków. The production proved to be a very interesting dramaturgical proposal. Twice in a row – 2003 and 2004 – Kater was voted best German-language playwright in polls conducted by “Theater heute” (“Theatre today”). Since the 2003/04 season he has been curator at schmidtstrasse12 of schauspielfrankfurt. With the beginning of the 2006/07 season he is artistic director of the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin.
